I have stayed in We Academy for two months, there are many unforgettable things that have happened here. I remember that Manager Brad and China always took care of me and invited me to a birthday party on my second day. Moreover, I also had a Chinese Manager who helped me when I came across some problems. There was a peaceful and comfortable surrounding that made it easier to begin studying.
I believe that I improved my English pronunciation skills and got more confidence when I spoke English. In particular, it hard to pronounce /r/ and /l/ sounds and confused with /sh/ and /s/, my teachers always taught me patiently. In two months, I was happy that I found many mistakes in my pronunciation, like “friend” became “fan”; “six” became “sex”; “card” became “car”; “trip” became “cheap”, etc. All of these experiences made things much clearer to learn English.
In addition, I was very lucky because I met many excellent teachers here. T. Anna could correct my writing quickly, and taught me where I had mistakes. T. Arlene was a serious teacher, and had to train me many times with my grammar and conversation. T. Rexzel was full of energy because she always laughed and gave me more driving force, and let me understand more idioms. T. Rodney liked leading me to discuss and share ideas with each other. T. Zette was like my friend and chatted with me, so my conversation skills was enhanced greatly.
In summary, this journey of studying made me learn more about the Philippines local culture, meet different kinds of people and improve my basic ability in English. I think two months was a perfect time for me. In a short time, my confidence was boosted. I finally achieved one of my dreams which was to study English abroad.
